Job Title: Procurement Manager for a Europe food manufacturing company

Summary:
Implement the procurement strategy for manufacturing in China. Manage the entire process of procurement (raw materials, equipment & facilities, DC) including quality, analysing requirements, scheduling, inventory management, supplier evaluation & development.

Responsibilities:
1. Supplier Development and Relations (raw materials, equipment & facilities, DC)
Identify supplier’s shortlist for new ingredients development and work with Engineering on supplier’s qualification process. Act in a professional manner to evaluate potential suppliers base with the objective to increase value and improve quality for all materials/equipment purchased. Make recommendations on new suppliers based on evaluation of supplier facilities and capabilities. Maintain good supplier relationships through clear, direct, and timely communications and feedback.
2. Procurement-Negotiate prices with vendors,
3. Recommend strategies which support the financial objectives and take advantage of favourable market opportunities. Negotiate and implement contracts at satisfactory prices, and coordinate the arrival of shipments with operating facilities. Track and deliver on cost savings objectives.
4. Control the inventory levels of raw materials
5. Develop and maintain the ERP systems
6. Quality Control - Manage supplier quality issues to guarantee satisfaction by plants.


Requirements
1. Food, Pharmaceutical or Chemical industry experience background； Strong negotiation & influencing skills.
2. Communications confidently with superiors and peers with clarity, directness, and timeliness
3. Team player. Ability to work collaboratively without boundaries
4. Welcome different point of view and diverse ideas
6. Self-motivated, needs minimal supervision
7. Engineering or Food Industry background is preferred
8. Willingness to learn, adapts, and grows as an individual and collectively as an organization.
