JOB DESCRIPTION

JOB TITLE: Drafter/Designer
POSITION TYPE: Exempt, Regular Full Time
REPORTS TO: Department Head
STARTING BASE PAY: Monthly
WORK SHIFT: NPI regular business hours, extended as needed

SUMMARY
This individual will prepare engineering documentation from design layout and models including Bills of Materials (BOM) and drawing of parts, assemblies, and final assemblies that illustrate the assigned components and products.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
? Ability use AutoCAD, ProE, and Solid Works to design products and assist engineers in the creation of drawings for cables, cables harnessing and Mechanical Assy.
? This individual will also be responsible for maintaining a database of engineering files created in software format.
? Self-motivated
? Understands the importance of deadlines
? Superior organizational skills
? Ability to handle multiple projects with schedules that have strict deadlines
? Ability to read and draw schematics as required by the customers
? Other task maybe assigned within the engineering department

QUALIFICATIONS
? Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Business or Social Sciences or equivalent experience
? Proficient in Microsoft Office with hands-on experience with data entry and Microsoft Excel reporting
? Operate as a collaborative team member and function with minimal supervision
? Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, demanding and deadline-driven culture
? Ability to multi-task, pay attention to details and prioritize/manage multiple requests simultaneously
? Excellent communication skills, good listener with ability to focus on uncovering customer concerns
? Enjoy challenges and initiating new ideas to improve customer relations and develop business
? Self-starter, motivated to get things done
? Able to follow instructions and execute on assigned duties
