Responsibilities:

Primary contact for customers during quality issue resolution. Must be capable of balancing business needs with customer requirements
Develop, manage, and direct activities of a customer quality engineering group charged with effectively resolving customer complaints. Serve as the communication liaisons between manufacturing and the customer.
Driving effective closed loop problem solving methodology during customer issue resolution (Example - 8D Methodology, 5-Why, Cause & Effect Diagram, DOE, Plan-Do-Check-Act). Lead and assist personnel in problem-solving on the manufacturing floor as necessary.
Participate in manufacturing process or quality system auditing as required to support ISO/TS16949 management system certification, supplier qualification, or as part of defect investigations.
Responsible for review, impact evaluation, qualification and approval of product / process changes as applicable within the management of change process (ECN). Also accountable to ensure Product Change Notice (PCN) requirements of customers are properly followed before and during change implementation. This includes having knowledge and experience in adhering to Production Part Approval Process (PPAP), which may be required by customers as part of change qualification.
Interface with certification agencies such as the China Quality Certification Centre (CQC) as necessary regarding CCC or other agency certification requirements. Upon identification of any agency certification nonconformities with product, this position serves as a liaison with Design, Plant, and Manufacturing Engineering in correcting the cause of nonconformity.
Develop and utilize technical competence in electronic component design, manufacturing, process & quality control, and customer application to enable more effective resolution of customer complaints.
Accountable to coordinate and ensure any required sorting or containment activities related to quality issues are carried out effectively. This includes validation that the containment method is effective, and may involve travel to customers sites to support.
Responsible to coordinate with customer service and sales functions to ensure replacement part requirements are satisfied when required by customers due to quality issues.


Qualification:

Bachelor degree or above in Engineering
Minimum of 7 years Customer interface Quality Field experience
Excellent interpersonal skills and customer service skills
ISO/TS lead assessor and/or ASQ CQA preferred
Six Sigma Black Belt and/or ASQ CQE preferred
5-Years experience in a fast paced manufacturing environment
Ability to travel up to approximately 25% of time.
