Essential Responsibilities:

1. DFA, DFM analysis according to IPC standard and Harman standard, considering ergonomic, best practice, cost, equipment capability.
2. Define and optimize process parameter of SMT and assemlby station using statistical tools such as Cpk analysis, gage R&R, DOE.
3. Work with supplier to design and fabricate stencil, wave pallet for new products.
4. Develop manufacturing process and error proofing plan for new project.
5. Conduct ED(Engineering development), DV(Design verification) build in pilot factory, feedback manufacturability and issues to R&D team.
6. Analyze equipment capacity based on customer forecast, and submit equipment purchasing request.
7. Analyze equipment standard operation, improve equipment ultilization.
8. Estimate manufacturing labor cost and investment for potential new business.

9. Material qualifications
a. Work with internal and external team members to select and qualify new materials for production processes (e.g., PCB, solders, glues, flux, etc)
10. Equipment development and qualification
a. Use any necessary sensing and automation integration techniques to develop and implement manufacturing assembly fixtures that ensure a mistake proof process at a cost effective price.
b. Qualify equipments according to standard process.
11. Implement new and existing production processes into a high volume production environment
a. Track and analyze new and existing production processes in order to determine technical and commercial feasibility
b. Introduce new production processes into large-scale production, considering new technologies and materials. Include research results in collaboration with internal and external research centers.
c. Perform cost comparisons of new processes, taking into account future requirements, strategic business objectives, technological developments, technical options, production capacity issues, and other organizational conditions.
12. Develop and Manage relationships with external vendors
a. Locate and work with sourcing teams to evaluate potential new vendors for production hardware and software.
b. Ensure that vendors are awarded work that they are fully capable of performing. Develop vendors with strong potential by awarding challenging projects to them.
c. Work with vendors on various projects, ensuring good communication, and meeting cost, schedule, and quality targets on all projects.
13. Manage the creation and maintenance of Process Specifications, Hardware Specifications, and Best Practices
a. Work with team members in Europe and North America to standardize production processes across the organization.
b. Work with team members in Europe and North America to develop and implement best practices in production that result in the best possible quality level while managing costs.

14. Participate in product launch efforts.
a. Participate in developing APQP documentation (Process Flow, PFMEA, Control Plans, Visual Aids, etc.)
b. Participate in the development and assessment of quality requirements for pilot builds and qualification builds.
Facilitate knowledge transfer about all aspects of production processes to local factory engineers and technicians.


Basic Qualifications/Requirements:

Education: Bachelor of Science in Electronics or Electrical Engineering from four-year University

Required Experience:
a. Five or more years experience of SMT process and Final assembly process.
b. Experience with PCBA DFM, DFA.
c. Experience in launching new products, be familiar with new project development procedure.
d. Experience in designing or managing new equipment and fixture development.
e. Experience on process improvement using quality tools such as 6sigma. GB, BB would be preferred


Desired Experience:
a. VALOR DFM experience.
b. Experience with FUJI NXT placement, Soltec Wave soldering and Selective soldering, Speedline-MPM- Accela Screen printing will be preferred.
New material evaluation experience: FLUX, Solder
