GENERAL SUMMARY:
This is an R&D Function with product development responsibility reporting to Technology Manager, Asia, who is reporting to Sr. Global Technology Director. A degreed person who has potential in carrying out research and development projects in our Suzhou facility which is part of center for excellence globally. This position is responsible for working with a team of 1 to 2 R&D technicians and a chemist in the Suzou R&D center with product development and testing. Customer technical support and scale up support is essential part of the job function for this position. The level of this position will be GLS technical career ladder depending on the level of educational qualifications and work experience.

Required Education:
? Bachelor’s /Graduate’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or Materials Science & Engineering or Polymer Science and Engineering.
? Exceptional candidates with other science degree and hands on experience with TPEs, with an interest in getting a chemistry /engineering degrees.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
？ Good knowledge of analytical methods, e.g., FT-IR, TGA, DSC, Rheometer, etc.;
？ Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, in Chinese and English;
？ Broad knowledge of extrusion compounds.
？ Self motivated
？ Hands on experience in formulating need to be demostrated.
？ Team Player
？ Computer skills: Proficiency with word-processing and spreadsheet applications required (MS Word & Excel preferred).
Required Length & Type of Experience:
？ 2 to 5 years of industrial experience preferred, but good candidates from college are considered
