Position: Application Engineer

Major Responsibility:

1. Support the sales team to obtain new business opportunities; communicate with customers in technical aspect and add value in providing customer technical support.

2. Review and analyze the customer’s technical requirements and take the lead to prepare engineering proposal(s) in a timely manner.

3. Define and develop the specifications of prototype and production parts that will meet customer’s requirements, in line with the marketing short-term and long-term strategies, and draft technical agreement with customers.

4. Communication with oversea tech centers to get tech support and coordinating design, prototype and testing activities etc. And support the customer’s testing.

5. Responsible of release new or changed drawings and engineering bill of material in system for the new project and production.

6. Conduct technical presentations, training & seminars to customers and internal colleagues.

7. Taking active part in technical issue resolution on customer complaints and returns.

Qualification:

Knowledge1. University degree or above in automotive engineering or automotive electronics.

Good knowledge of engine and the whole vehicle; prefer to ECU system and electrical technology.

At least 5 years working experience in automotive electronic field. Experience with Automotive Quality tools, such as FMEA, DVP&R process, PPAP process.

Good negotiation, communication and personal skill.

Good written and oral communication skills in English and Mandarin.

Self-driven and results oriented.

Quick Learner, willing to learn new skills and willing to teach others.

Customer oriented and cost conscious.

Willing to travel frequently

Preference requirement

1. Familiar with engine cooling system, such as fan, fan clutch and E-fan clutch, E-water pump etc;

2. Familiar with EUC/electrical technology experience is much more preferred, such as Circuit Principle, Automatic Control Principle, Analog &Digital Circuit;

3. Experience on vehicle electronics test field;

4. Know about auto thermal calibration system, such as Bosch INCA, Denso Meister, Delphi Vision etc;

5. Simple know vehicle communication protocol, such as LIN, CAN bus, KWP2000.

6. Familiar with program language and circuit design software, Altium designer or Protel.
