Education/Experience:
1 University degree, major in electrical/mechanical/industrial engineering (preferred) or business administration
2 At least 4-6 years work experience in the purchasing department or supplier quality department of an automotive industry company (Tier 1)
3 Experience and knowledge in the field of automotive industry’s stamping or plastic parts is required for this position (depends on commodity)
4 Work experience of a multinational company's purchasing office in China is a plus
5 Excellent language skills both in English and Chinese
6 Knowledge on ISO/TS 16949 is preferred,
7 Excellent skills in Microsoft, Excel, Power Point
8 SAP skills are plus
9 Very Good communication and presentation skills (Regularly communication with international team members necessary)


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
1 Identify and recommend suppliers (which fit into the Global Purchasing Strategy) to the local Purchasing Manager and global Commodity Leader.
2 Develop competitive suppliers together with SQE the team. Improve suppliers with respect to
Best in Class: Quality, Cost, Time and Service
3 Regularly review the local supplier portfolio with respect to the Global Purchasing Strategy and update/ improve the supplier portfolio if necessary.
4 Work closely with the global purchasing team and communicate with global purchasing members regularly to align strategy
5 Support the Project Purchasing Department and provide all requested project information, such as estimations, quotations, feasibility analysis and project plans on time,
6 Prepare tooling POs and take care of the project progress until PPAP approval.
7 Support the global team to manage the Asian supply chain in terms of global export business.
8 Review and verify suppliers’ quotes and cost analysis, prepare (global) benchmarks
9 Prepare and manage yearly price negotiations
10 Maintain all Scheduling Agreements and Long Term Agreements in SAP
11 Keep all projects and supplier related documents transparently, supplier quotes, Cost Breakdowns, Feasibility Analysis and other agreements with hard copy in folder and internet public folder.
12 Contribute to solve all problems that may arise at quality, technical or logistics level
13 Take over leadership task for the commodity
