Description:
To work as part of the Global Real Estate (GRE) team, driving change across Honeywell’s diverse APAC portfolio (186 properties, 5.6M SF, 13countries) through the effective management of major capital projects. Reporting into the APAC Construction Leader, the position will be responsible for managing the execution of assigned capital projects across the region to enable real estate strategies in support of the business’ objectives. This will involve leveraging internal and external service partner resources to deliver effective property solutions that meet customer requirements.
Project Management of multiple capital projects
The primary responsibility will be managing assigned capital projects in the APAC region. This will involve working from the initial feasibility stage through to the final delivery of the solution. The role will demand the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously that will support the execution of real estate strategies. The output will be completing fit out and construction projects in compliance with corporate policy and delivering to customer expectations by taking each project through to final acceptance and close out.
Key day-to-day activities will include managing projects; robust cost estimating as part of the initial feasibility work, close cost management during execution and value engineering as required to remain within budget; managing the scope & internal customers’ expectations; directing internal support functions, contractors and suppliers to ensure that all parties are meeting the agreed deliverable, quality and financial responsibilities; providing agreed reporting to APAC Construction Leader, including detailed accounts of schedule and budget position on assigned projects.
Leading cross-functional project teams; partnering with key contacts & maintaining strong working relationships
Leading cross-functional teams through the design and execution phases of multiple projects, comprising a combination of external service providers, internal HON support services and business representatives. Providing clear direction to the team to deliver the project within the agreed parameters with the ability to escalate key issues for resolution.
Partnering with internal (Supply Chain, Procurement, IT, HR, Legal, HSER etc) and external (project management, cost and design consultants) resources to ensure the successful execution of projects.
Developing and maintaining strong working relationships with senior management in the business across the region, striving to provide excellent customer service in all the aspects of service delivery from the Global Real Estate team.
Applying market best practice and standard tool & processes in project planning, execution & reporting
Participate in the Project Management Council (global construction group) to drive continual innovation in developing best practice for project planning and execution.
Ensure that HON standard tools & processes are employed by project teams, particularly external service providers, to deliver consistent & successful project execution. Timely reporting on an individual project and regional basis to keep customers and the wider Global Real Estate team informed of progress is critical.

Qualifications/ Experience/ Knowledge
Education, Experience and Knowledge Bachelors degree in Engineering, Architectural or Construction Management required; Masters preferred
3 to 5+ years in construction project management experience; minimum of 1 years in a corporate environment
Knowledge of HSE regulation is a plus
Experience managing and influencing external service providers
Professional Skills, Abilities and Other Requirements Fluency in English required; strong written and verbal communication skills;
Strong customer service, project management and organizational skills
Ability to accurately estimate and track construction costs and schedules using standard tools.
Highly motivated and self-directed, with strong influencing and leadership skills
Demonstrated ability to influence, negotiate, and collaborate effectively with associates at all levels in a positive and professional manner
Structured in approach and process focused
Expert in Excel, PowerPoint, and MS Project required; use of AutoCAD is a plus
Ability to travel 50 to 70%
