Position Overview

The Global Talent Acquisition organization at eBay Inc. is a fast-paced, highly motivated team of professionals focused on bringing in the highest level of talent to help drive the business forward while delivering a best in class candidate experience. The Talent Acquisition Sourcing Specialist is a key player in mapping the talent market landscape and pipelining qualified external talent for all assigned requisitions to the Talent Acquisition team.

Core Duties

1.Partner with your assigned Talent Acquisition team member(s) to understand the hiring requirements and review the talent request briefing/Intake session notes to ensure that you fully understand the role and talent requirements of your assigned requisitions.
2.Establish a process for sourcing candidates, including research of and participation in relevant community outreach events, job fairs, and social networking activities.
3.Generate candidate pipeline through a range of direct sourcing channels for all assigned open positions and ensure appropriate tracking mechanism in conjunction with the broader talent acquisition team you support
4.Mine the ATS, TalentVine and SkillSurvey passive candidate compiler databases.
5.Conduct thorough pre-screen activities in line with eBay Inc. and job requirements; present a shortlist of qualified candidates to the talent acquisition team member for consideration in candidate slate.
6.Provide market research and analysis to develop innovative and effective sourcing strategies, providing market intelligence to the team as needed. Gather and compile statistics and anecdotal data, as requested, for reporting purposes.
7.Conduct on-going research to identify new sourcing channels, job boards, posting sites, educational institutions, non-profit organizations, and other relevant associations to further build the talent pipeline and drive the eBay Inc. brand.
8.Develop and maintain professional relationships with colleges, university and community college placement offices as a source to generate qualified applicants.
9.Actively identity, attend and participate in the organisation of appropriate job fairs/career events on behalf of eBay Inc.
10.Manage and actively participate in Talent Acquisition related projects of varying complexity, importance and priority.
11.Contribute to the development of the annual Talent Acquisition planning, budgeting and strategy development.
12.Represent the Talent Acquisition team positively in relationships and communication with the Human Resource Business Partner’s (HRBP’s), MyHR, Centres of Expertise (COE’s), business leaders and with other Global Talent Acquisition (GTA) team members.

Prerequisite Knowledge & Proficiencies

1.Ability to build and manage relationships with internal and external customers including business partners, users, vendors, project teams and management leaders demonstrating the highest levels of integrity and discretion.
2.Ability to build networks across relevant industry sectors and conduct talent mapping activities.
3.Superior interpersonal and negotiation skills; demonstrated effective listening and questioning skills and is comfortable dealing with all levels in the organization.
4.Ability to work independently and to manage and handle multiple tasks of an urgent nature, whilst ensuring a professional level of tact and diplomacy with all levels of management.
5.Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to communicate and deal with all levels in the organization in a clear, timely and effective manner.
6.Multi-lingual capabilities may be required according to region and position.
7.Ability to learn and adapt quickly to new knowledge related to Talent Acquisition systems and processes.
8.Strong technical and systems aptitude with a working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.

11.Passionate about Talent Acquisition.

Experience
1.Relevant sourcing experience (recruitment agency/volume and/or specialist hiring) preferably gained within a global internet company, ecommerce or financial services environment typically required.
2.Experience using a hiring applicant tracking system – ideally Kenexa Brassring.
3.Proficient Web 2.0 sourcing skills including LinkedIN Recruiter preferred.

Educational Requirements
Degree or Certificate in business administration, HR, or other related field.
