职位描述
Become an expert on assigned product including the understanding of the technical aspects of the various
products, i.e. raw material, construction, components, assembly process.
Be familiar with the competition in each individual product area, processing specific information on
their price points, product line and manufacturing base.
Providing hands-on follow up of all daily merchandising activities for an assigned product/brand segment
starting from design concept through order placement and shipment.
Spearhead the research and development of new vendors and / or existing vendors with new production capabilities in order to identify new and evolving opportunities that will meet Company's current and future product needs.
Making sure that quality garments are shipped as per agreed upon delivery dates.
Evaluating lowest possible production cost respecting company's expectations on product and supply chain
needs.
Conduct price negotiation with all vendors in order to ensure that most competitive market prices are obtained.
Build and maintain a strong working relationship with all vendors. Train vendors on company standards and represent company values at high possible level.
Work closely with all relevant colleagues in Head Quarter.
Requirements:
Graduated in Garment / Textile field with rich experience and good understanding of the apparel industry.
At least 6-10 years of relevant experience in garment merchandizing.
Self motivated and be able to work under pressure
Strong sense of garment/fashion in woven product category
Fast learning, self-starter, who works well in a fast paced, changing environment.
Detail and results oriented, excellent interpersonal skills, open minded.
Willing to work outside the office based on business needs.
PC literate, MS office as a must
Excellent communication and presentation skills with fluent command of both writing & oral English & Mandarin.
