What You’ll Do (but not limited to):

· Collaborate with and support Quality Manager in maintaining the utmost quality standards

· Conduct root cause analysis, establish and implement solutions for correcting quality issues

· Perform incoming inspection using best practice measurement techniques

· Inspect, test and/or measure materials, products, installations and work for conformance to product and quality specifications

· Notify supervisors and other personnel of production problems and assist in identifying and correcting these problems

· Discuss inspection results with those responsible for products, follow up with necessary corrective actions with vendor and manage corrective action to closure and implementation

· Record inspection and test data for purposes of conducting business performance reviews with vendors

· Mark items with details such as acceptance or rejection status

· Ensure incoming product must be inspected within 24 hours of receipt of material

What You Need (but not limited to):

· BS in Engineering (or Professional Engineering certification) preferred, Masters a plus.

· AQS Certified Quality Engineer preferred.

· Minimum 3 years product inspection experience or related experience in quality field.

· Product inspection experience, specifically injection molding.

· Knowledge of measurement techniques and tools, need to know how to utilize various measurement tools properly and effectively.

· Basic knowledge of reliability, maintainability, and risk management, including key terms and definitions, modeling, systems design, assessment tools, and reporting.

· Thorough understanding of problem-solving and quality improvement tools and techniques. This includes knowledge of management and planning tools, quality tools, preventive and corrective actions, and how to overcome barriers to quality improvements.

· Understand risk analysis philosophies and methodologies and their applications.

· Understand readiness processes and requirements.

· Fundamental understanding of quality philosophies, principles, systems, methods, tools, standards, organizational and team dynamics, customer expectations and satisfaction, supplier relations and performance, leadership, training, interpersonal relationships, improvement systems, and professional ethics.

· Fundamental understanding of a quality system and its development, documentation, and implementation with respect to domestic and international standards or requirements.

· Fundamental understanding of the audit process including types of audits, planning, preparation, execution, reporting results, and follow-up.

· Must be able to adhere to the highest quality standards in all communication.

· Able to develop and implement quality programs, including tracking, analyzing, reporting, and problem solving.

· Able to plan, control, and assure product and process quality in accordance with quality principles, which include planning processes, material control, acceptance sampling, and measurement systems.

· Able to plan, control, and assure product application, including design, manufacturing and construction.

· Able to acquire and analyze data using appropriate standard quantitative methods across a spectrum of business environments to facilitate process analysis and improvements.

· Able to be the best steward of company resources and conducting oneself in a way that radiates integrity, honesty and trust.

· Exercise superior professional judgment to do what is right for the company and customer at all times.

· Critical thinking and analysis.

· Computer proficient with Microsoft® Suite and able to compose professional emails internally, externally and internationally.
