POSITION: Finance Manager
REPORTING TO: China General Manager/Head Office Senior Group Accountant
RESPONSIBILITY: Key contact person for Senior Staff
Responsible for financial and management reporting of the China division
Responsible for the Statutory & Legal obligation of the China division
Responsible for managing and mentoring of Accounts Staff in Shanghai office
1.0 AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY:
1.1 Coordinate Staff to ensure Accounts Deadlines are met
? Accounts close off
? 4Cast Imports - AP & Payroll
? 4Cast Exports
? Roll over China at month end
1.2 Review Month End Accounts Prior to Submitting to Head Office
? Balance Sheet Review
? Profit & Loss Review
? Profit Take Up Finalisation
1.3 Review of Monthly Chinese Accounts prior to reporting
1.4 Responsible for the monthly reconciliation between the Australian & Chinese Accounts
1.5 Cash Flow preparation & submitting to Head Office
1.6 Debt Management & Collection
1.7 Responsible for the China Audit & Tax Returns
1.8 Responsible for all Statutory Obligations
1.9 Optimum use of funds to maximise interest
1.10 Review and reconciliation of Monthly Payroll (local & expat), including all Statutory Liabilities & Provisions
1.11 Support Management & Construction Staff
1.12 Ensure systems and procedures are set, maintained and followed
1.13 Responsible for China Finance Staff
1.14 Responsible for Common Seal
1.15 Review & Authorise Payments 1st authoriser (2nd authoriser China General Manager)
1.16 Responsible for reviewing Client Contracts to ensure accurately reported in the accounts
1.17 Responsible for reviewing Subcontractor Contracts to ensure accurately reported in the accounts
1.18 Responsible for Budgets & Forecasting of the China Division (preparation, extrapolation & importing into accounting system)
1.19 GC Federal Check - Finance Cost Maintenance
1.20 Tax Liaison Person
1.21 Maintaining the integrity of the financial accounts
1.22 Responsible for Statistical Reporting
1.23 Responsible for all subsidies and grants compilation
2.0 PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
2.1 Possess Bachelor Degree Accounting
2.2 Possess Senior Certified Accountant Certificate
2.3 CPA Qualifications considered favourably
3.0 EXPERIENCE
3.1 Minimum 9 years working experience
3.2 Experience in Managing Staff
3.3 Foreign currency exposure required
3.4 Payroll experience required
3.5 Experience in dealing with foreign companies will be considered favourably
4.0 SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES:
4.1 Sound working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel.
4.2 Possess good written and oral English communication skills
4.3 Ability to work under minimal supervision and (at times) under pressure.
4.4 Flexibility with regard to varied workload and constant deadlines.
4.5 Being reliable, trustworthy and dependable in performing the above tasks
4.6 Accurate with good attention to detail
4.7 Absolute discretion and utmost reliability
