Job Description:

1. Deliver consulting services and training to individuals and groups of academic staff related to enhancing learning and teaching on campus

2. Maintain and develop resources, including websites and other tools, for staff that facilitate international best practices in learning and teaching.

3. Support the adoption of best practices in departments and centres in assessment strategies

4. Support collaborative networks on campus to share examples of best practices in teaching and learning

5. Assist with obtaining feedback from academic staff and students, and with conducting evaluations and producing reports related to activities of office

6. Work closely with staff in Libraries and in Management and Information Technology and Systems office and other units on campus to promote the use of appropriate technologies, facilities and methods in teaching and learning.

7. Keep abreast of developments in the field nationally and internationally

8. Perform other related duties, as assigned

Personal Requirements:

1. A Masters’ degree and at least three (3) years of work experience in educational development, preferably in a higher education environment

2. Strong communication skills

3. Demonstrated ability to work in a team

4. Self-starter

5. Project management experience is an asset

6. Familiarity with learning in the context of Mathematics or Engineering preferred (to complement existing team specialties)
