职位描述
The Marketing Manager is responsible for the development and implementation of innovative sales and marketing strategies and operations that will achieve the growth and reputational objectives of the International Business School Suzhou (IBSS) at XJTLU. S/he will also have responsibility for student recruitment and admissions. The post reports directly to the Dean of IBSS, with an additional reporting line to the University’s ISRS (International Student Recruitment and Support) and BMO (Brand and Marketing Office).
Duties and Responsibilities
1. To develop and maintain IBSS’ image, brand, identity and profile, taking account of best practice in industry and other business schools.
2. To lead the creative development and implementation of the IBSS’ marketing, recruitment and corporate communications strategies, and to establish appropriate key performance indicators for the marketing strategy.
3. To oversee the recruitment strategy and ensure that it feeds into the School’s planning and budgeting, marketing, student number and course planning processes.
4. To lead the development and implementation of the marketing plans and budgets, both corporately, for individual programmes and for research and knowledge transfer.
5. To contribute towards the development of the School’s recruitment strategies for its various programmes, in conjunction with the IBSS Admissions Officer and the University Student Admissions and Career Development Office.
6. To oversee IBSS’ marketing and recruitment budget, ensuring the effective use of all financial allocations.
7. To develop and administer the marketing database which includes client and prospective client information, mailing list applications, access to financial reports, etc.
8. To manage IBSS advertising, communications, promotional events, entries and materials, including marketing merchandise, ensuring that they are consistent, appropriate and up-to-date.
9. To oversee the development of the School’s website and associated web-based marketing initiatives, in conjunction with the School and University’s Web Team and Content Management System.
10. To develop and implement a social media strategy.
11. To co-develop recruitment fair and school visiting programme with ISRS and student admissions, work with ISRS and student admissions on preparing bespoke campaign material ahead of attending educational fairs and evaluating fairs for future inclusion in programme.
12. To be responsible for the co-ordination and provision of statistical information/marketing intelligence on the markets in which the School operates, and for the administration of a range of market research requirements and activities.
13. To contribute towards the development and promotion of new marketing opportunities with companies, clients, partners, agencies, institutions, as appropriate.
14. To actively share best practice across the University and contribute to the overarching marketing and brand development of the University.
15. To develop and maintain positive and effective working relationships both internally and externally, and in particular with the University International Student Recruitment Team, the University Brand and Marketing Office, the University Student Admissions and Career Development Office, IBSS Programme Directors, Heads of Subject Groups, Coordinators of Learning and Teaching and Research and Knowledge Transfer and external agencies, partners and organisations.
16. To manage and supervise the work of the marketing administrator and the admissions officer, including supporting their development.
17. Such other duties, commensurate with the grade and nature of the post, as might be allocated from time to time.

Qualifications
Essential:
Degree or equivalent professional qualification in business or marketing.
Desirable:
CIM Diploma or equivalent marketing qualification, MBA or equivalent postgraduate qualification
Experience
Essential:
Relevant strategic marketing management experience.
A proven track record in developing and administering a marketing programme.
Experience in leading the creative development process, and ability to innovate change.
Devising and implementing marketing plans.
Managing significant marketing budgets.
Commissioning artwork and print production.
Placing advertising.
Issuing press releases.
Desirable:
Experience in marketing in further or higher education.
Commissioning market research.
Selecting and briefing advertising and PR agencies.
Experience in organising promotional events
Skills & Knowledge
Essential:
Knowledge of higher education market.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Highly organised, with proven project management skills.
Excellent presentation and interpersonal skills.
Desirable:
In-depth knowledge of higher education market (in particular, business education).
Personal Qualities
Essential:
Self-motivated and able to act on own initiative.
Ability to think strategically, solve problems and take responsibility for decisions.
Willingness and ability to travel nationally and internationally.
