Sourcing Manager to European Company in Suzhou
Our client is a company that manufactures and assembles metal and plastic components for customers in telecom and automotive industries. The company is now looking for an independent Sourcing Manager who will lead the company’s sourcing function and will have the overall responsibility of developing, extending and evaluating the local supplier network in order to deliver products with highest quality, on time and cost effectively.
The role/responsibility
Some responsibilities include:
? Over-all responsible for the supplier management process including identifying, evaluating, selecting, auditing and developing suppliers
? Negotiating product costs and contract terms
? Leading and developing the sourcing team
? Working with the local purchasing, logistics, sales and project management teams to address the short-term and long-term needs within the organization
? Constantly drive improvements to assure group targets are reached
? Budget, result and forecast
? Collecting marketing information and staying up-to-date on technology and price trends
Experiences and personal qualities
? At least 5 years experience in a sourcing management position within the hi-tech/telecom industry
? Good knowledge of machined metal components or plastics is an advantage
? Bachelor’s degree required. Major in Engineering and business administration or other equivalent education
? Hands-on and pro-active personality with strong negotiation skills and high ethics
? Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence all levels of the internal and external organization cross functionally
? Experience of working in a multi-national company and experience of working with different cultures
? Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English and Mandarin
