B) Job Objective
? This role will lead, facilitate and develop improvement activities throughout CPS Shanghai. The Team member will support the training and development of associates throughout CPS Shanghai in the use and application of lean tools to drive operational excellence. The Team member will have an active role in identifying waste elimination and value creation opportunities with teams across the business units and developing related implementation plans for improvement.

C) Key Results Areas
Operational Excellence Program (100%)
? Lead and facilitate the implementation of process improvements
? Train and coach associates on the use of Lean and problem solving tools
? Keep up to date with current thinking on the application of lean principles.
? Process data to prioritize improvement opportunities and setting targets and tracking mechanisms to capture value creation
? Develop OE Change Agents throughout the various teams within the plant
? Develop standardized processes throughout the business unit, including training and implementation and document control (when required)
? Prepare routine reports and presentations
? Communicate to teams both within and outside CPS Shanghai
? Benchmark with other companies to share best practice and improve operational performance
? OE manager back-up

D) Job Requirements / Qualifications

Analysis:

? Structures ill defined, vague problems, using intuition, creativity, and hypotheses to improve structuring and focus the team’s problem solving efforts
? Recognizes the need for, draws on and rapidly learns new analytic approaches. Ensures quality control.
? Pushes beyond existing analytic capabilities, builds new and creative conceptual frameworks and/or analytic approaches. Stimulates creative problem solving and ensures a very high quality in all end products
? Develops creative and innovative recommendations that take into account the implementation potential

? Implementation of the OE strategy in CPS Shanghai and creating the Business Plan for OE annually
? Enhancing the OE methodology for services
? OE budget
? Development of the OE team

? Able to identify key barriers to success and recommend strategies for avoidance.
? Work with the CPS Shanghai LT to agree how to deploy the gains achieved from OE and their contribution to the value creation scorecard

Knowledge & Experience:
Minimum 6 years experience in Manufacture and at least 2 years experience with lean management.
Education & Professional Qualification:
Bachelor degree or equivalent work experience
Language & Computer skill Requirements:
Proficient written and competent oral English skills; Proficient computer skill; Knowledge of SAP is a plus;
Travel Requirements:
Travel is required for purposes of Company meetings, and business improvement. Amount of travel is estimated as: Travel within Asia = up to 10%
