Responsibilities:

- Manage activities relating to the procurement of technology equipment packages and components

- Interact with Quality and Project Management teams to achieve favorable outcomes for the Company

- Manage team of procurement specialists to achieve, global and market area objectives

- Analyze and take action for progress relating to procurement phases of tendering, execution and delivery

- Format documentation to control procurement activities and processes;

- Check enquiry documents and approve issue of tender to qualified suppliers as required;

- Lead and perform commercial comparisons,

- Coordinate technical evaluations and negotiations of all offers;

- Provide recommendations for award to Department Heads for acceptance and approval

- Check contract documents and purchase orders to ensure agreements are captured accurately

- Oversee the award process of contracts and purchase orders to suppliers

- Define the most advantageous purchase package and purchase plan;

- Undertake factory audit visits to determine workshop capacity and capabilities

- Ensure proper maintenance of electronic and hardcopy records on file

- Read and interpret drawings and understand definition of scope

- Provide procurement service according to global and local project requirements

- Maintain control of expenditure versus budget and keep records of savings achieved

- Enforce confidentiality agreements with potential suppliers

- Take the lead in supplier performance management;

- Manage invoice processing and bank guarantee register


Requirements:

- Minimum Bachelor degree in Engineering or Supply Chain Management

- 10 years working experience in the Mining, Metallurgy or mechanical/electrical engineering industry.

- Minimum 5 years purchasing and/or sourcing experience

- Market knowledge and awareness of economic factors impacting the business

- Solid understanding and ability to read technical specifications and drawings

- Good knowledge and understanding of legal, financial and commercial terms
