Supplier Development Manager
BU - DataComm
Location - Shanghai
Responsibilities
- Take full responsibility for AP suppliers’ long term quality Kaizen and development for assigned commodities.
- For both AP local new projects and current suppliers, this position will take flawless execution of TE Supplier Quality Development Strategies including APQP/PPAP requirement & process.
- Qualify and evaluate of new suppliers and the recommendation for strategic sourcing teams for supplier selection
- Support Sr. SDE create and execute Supplier Quality/Development Plans for new (or current) suppliers to bring them to the next operating performance level prior to meet TE requirement. Involves numerous engagements with the supplier including senior management to change attitudes, fix systemic weaknesses and demonstrate that quality is leadership driven.
- Support SQE provides and/or leads 8D problem solving tools and methodologies with the supplier to assure solid root cause identification and irreversible corrective actions during the Launch phase.
- Identify, report and track dedicated supplier savings resulting from supply development programs.
- Maintain a supplier scorecards of quality and perform regular supplier review for Kaizen, training, assessment and on site coaching.
- Participate the Kaizen of PBL quality process.
- Participate leading 6 Sigma improvement projects for DTC supplier & receiving plant.
Requirements
? Bachelor in Mechanical / Industrial Engineering or related technical field.
? Minimum 5 years’ experience in an industrial environment, in quality is preferred.
? Knowledge for manufacturing process as stamping, molding is a must. PCB/PCBA and connector supplier quality knowledge and experiences are highly preferred.
? Knowledge of quality standards such as ISO 9001/TS 16949.
? People management experiences for SQE/SDE is requested.
? Good knowledge and similar with Quality Management tools such as APQP, PPAP, Problem Analysis Tools, etc.
? Excellent communication, systematic problem solving thinking and interpersonal skills.
? Ability to lead cross functional meetings to a successful conclusion
? Good English skills both orally and written for global communication needs.
? Result oriented attitude and high ability to drive supplier to improve as per fixed process.
