Position Title: AREA SAFETY COORDINATOR

Accountable to: Safety Manager

Area Safety Coordinators are accountable to the Safety Manager for:

· Provision of professional OHS advice & support to Area Managers

· Monitor and support the implementation of Safety Program within nominated area

· Oversight of CMC and Contractor safety performance within nominated area.

Responsibilities:

· Conduct regular workplace inspections with Contractors and provide advice and guidance to Area Management and employees regarding OHS requirements;

· Monitor Contractor OHS performance and compliance with Project OHS requirements and report on trends and non-conformances to the Project Safety & Security Manager.

· Review and monitor compliance with Risk Assessments, JHA’s, and Project OHS Standards
