Summary:
Guided by overall company vision, goals, and values,
the Quality Manager ensures that quality standards and procedures are met and aligned with business processes and customer specifications.
This individual is responsible for managing the organizations quality policies and controlling new product development processes.
The Quality Manager will also establish performance standards, procedures, and audit controls in order to meet business requirements, as well as Identify and implement process improvements to increase the efficiency, effectiveness, and quality of company operations.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
> Provide leadership in maintaining quality program and directing quality improvement initiatives for all company products, services, and supplier quality
> Monitor quality systems and advise executive team on system performance; publish statistics regarding performance against set goals. Ensure ongoing compliance with local, national, and international standards and legislation.
> Perform gap analysis between applicable and current ISO standards; establish and implement a quality plan to maintain company’s
> Coordinate internal audits which are compliant with company policies, and procedures.
> Collaborate with customers’ quality representatives to ensure full customer satisfaction with the company’s products and services. Act as liaison with customer auditors and assume responsibility for ensuring corrective actions with customer specifications.
> Establish and maintain a quality program for monitoring supplier quality, including audits, controls, and other qualifiers.
> Support new product development and continuous improvement and by integrating quality control tools (e.g. Lean, Six Sigma, etc.) into processes.
> Create and maintain quality control documentation.
> Identify relevant quality training needs and opportunities.
Educational/Experience Requirements:
> 5 yrs experience in quality management, direct work experience with ISO 9000 systems, direct knowledge of various quality methodologies, regulations, guidelines, and standards
> Progressive leadership experience, preferably in the materials related industry
> University degree in Engineering, Business Management or related field
> Extensive experience and successful implementation of quality improvement projects
> Strong business acumen with experience working for MNC companies
> Training and knowledge of Six Sigma techniques and Lean Manufacturing are desirable.
Competencies and Personal Characteristics:
> Strong customer focus with ability to identify quality issues, gather and analyze information, and formulate workable action plans
> Ability to make sound, timely decisions within company guidelines
> A well-defined sense of diplomacy外交, including solid negotiation, conflict resolution, and people management skills. Able to build and maintain lasting relationships with other departments, key business partners, and government agencies.
> Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate quality mission, objectives and goals clearly in both English and Chinese
> Strong integrity and business ethics consistent with western culture while enforcing laws, rules and regulations
> Good leadership, coaching & mentoring skills, and organizational skills
