Purpose of the position
- This is a regional role which resides within the RBU Greater China
- Reports to Investment & Planning Controller for RBU Greater China in Shanghai.
- Roles have regional responsibility - frequent travel outside the base is expected.
Principal responsibilities
Responsible for providing business & financial support to the RBU in the form of:
- Lead and drive Business Decision Support including specific initiatives/programme support e.g. What if analysis, make vs. buy, market product decisions, profit improvement programmes, cost management, supply chain optimisation, pricing, trade working capital analysis, etc.
- Business Case Development for investment projects, implementation & continued monitoring to ensure consistency with BOC Group policy and guidelines.
- Appraisal / Evaluation of acquisitions and investments including preparation of Investment Papers.
- Support business/financial integration when acquisitions/mergers complete.
- Drive the development and implementation of RBU KPIs, Scorecards, etc through Country finance teams.
- Drive the development and implementation of Product & Customer Profitability Analysis through Financial Country finance teams.
- Leadership role in driving Annual Plan process.
- Leadership role in driving Strategic Plan process including developing action plans and implementation of tracking procedures.
- Contingency Analysis
- Regional overheads consolidation & analysis
- Track and monitor market trends / competitor positioning
- Ongoing support for Plan target review and analysis.
