Essential Duties and Responsibilities

1. Sets up NPI systems to monitor and report NPI processes.

2. Effectively communicates with Research & development Engineers to get correct BOM

& kick off NPI internally .

3. Develop Control plan , Process flow chart , Process FMEA necessary for effective NPI .

4. Provides engineering support by troubleshooting production problems caused due to PCB design related issues .

5. Effectively interfaces with manufacturing and support team individuals to design manufacturing/quality processes and improvements within schedule and budgetary parameters.

6. Interfaces with design engineering and sales ( program managers ) to suggest product design changes to customer . Prepares manufacturing/quality cost estimates and capital appropriation requests to acquire tooling and equipment if necessary for manufacture, and quality process control of new product to be introduced .

7. Interfaces with other manufacturing and support groups to address and resolve manufacturing, quality, and engineering issues for new products .

8. Develop poka yoke , tooling, wave/SMT pallets at NPI stage for better mass production release .

9. Suggest/Implements production layouts and ergonomic workstations addressing work flow, safety, and quality requirements at NPI stage .

10. Hold a Build readiness meeting with the team prior to release the product for mass production .

Qualifications:

1. Education/Experience/Credentials

1.1 Bachelors degree in Electronics field or related field or a commensurate level of related NPI experience.

1.2 Sound knowledge of Electronic components , PCB design criteria , SMT process including Screen printing , pick & place , Reflow profiling , wave profiling , Clean & coating process for PCBAs .Knowledge of Valor DFM is preferable .

1.3 Five or more years specifically related experience in an SMT manufacturing environment with expertise in X-ray, AOI and BGA knoeledge techniques. Siemens SMT machine experience, including programming is highly desired.

1.4 Working knowledge of quality systems and standards.

1.5 Working knowledge and experience in various quality tools (SPC, Pareto, capability studies, etc.)

2. Language Ability

Good English both in oral and written.

3. Computer Skills

Skilled on Office software
