Figurehead position within the organisation.
Drive high levels of customer satisfaction through assured supply of high quality products and services at a competitive price.
To develop and implement the strategic goals and objectives of the organization.
Ensure the fulfillment of all governance requirements relating to the functioning of a company·
Provide organisational direction and leadership which will constantly move the organisation toward the achievement of its mission, strategy, goals and objectives.
Be a driving influence in the establishment of organisational philosophy and values.
Overall managerial responsibility for meeting shareholder return expectations.
Ensuring that all business activities are conducted in a sustainable manner which are socially, environmentally and culturally responsible.

Major Duties & Responsibilities:

Develop Strategic Business Plans and ensure they are achieved through the implementation of appropriate tactical practices and procedures.
In collaboration with key staff, prepares and recommend yearly budgets for Board approval.
Prudently manage the organisation's resources within budget guidelines and according to current laws and regulations.
Monitor and control the company's performance across all areas and work streams.
Ensure that systems and processes are in place which create a business environment where all staff are effectively employed and adequately trained to perform their responsibilities and operational tasks in an ethical and responsible manner.
Ensure that the products produced and services provided are of highest standards possible and in accordance with the company's quality policies.
Ensure company compliance with all legal requirements.
Overall responsibility for activities related to new business acquisition, including expansion of existing business through 3rd party opportunities.
Monitor the progress of all key projects, particular those which specifically relate to/support the Strategic Business Plan.
Authorise all legal documents requiring the signature of a company Director.
Act as a primary contact point for the senior representatives of customers and other clients.
Negotiate and establish pricing policies and protocols with customers.
Represent the company as a member of industry associations and other committees.
Create the appropriate internal structures which enable the effective management of the human resources of the organisation. This is done according to authorised personnel policies and procedures that fully conform to current laws and regulation
Assure the organisation and its mission, programs, products and services are consistently presented to internal and external parties in a strong, positive and responsible manner.
Control the community involvement of the organisation including "Corporate Giving" and donation programs.
Act as the primary spokesperson for the organisation on relevant matters.
Qualifications/EXPERIENCE

Proven senior-level executive management experience, preferably with FMCG, food manufacturing and/or distribution sector experience.
At least10 years in commercial managerial roles with direct budget and profit responsibility.
Sound level of experience within a customer driven global organisation. Has worked in an international matrix organisation.
Experience in interacting at the very senior/Board level of large organisations.
Demonstrated record of building sustainable and lean organisations.
Strong financial and commercial acumen.
Experience managing an evolving environment.
Tertiary qualifications with post-graduate well regarded.

The visionary skills necessary to establish a Strategic Business Plan, coupled with the energy and drive required to see such plan implemented

Excellent writing and public speaking skills
for both formal and extemporaneous presentations.

Preparedness to take a very flexible approach to working hours.
Reliability.
Preferably willing to relocate internationally at some point in career.
Preparedness to undertake regular international travel as required.
