We are helping one of our clients - a US headquartered, Suzhou based manufacturing company to find strong candidates for the below position:
Location: Suzhou
Report to: General Manager
Summary of Job Responsibilities:
Leading and managing all aspects of the plant team and accountability for all activities necessary to cost effectively and safely manufacture high quality products and services by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
1. Reviews production costs and product quality, and modified production and inventory control programs to maintain and enhance profitable operations.
2. Monitors organizational KPI and metric measurements on periodic basis and adjusts plant resources to achieve goals.
3. Analyzes production specifications and plant capacity and performs mathematical calculations to determine manufacturing processes, tools, and hours worked requirements in efforts of achieving maximum efficiency and cost effectiveness.
4. Ensures that the responsibilities, authorities, and accountability of all direct subordinates are defined and understood.
5. Takes the leadership role in motivating all employees to meet or exceed the company mission statement, quality policy, safety policy and facility goals.
6. Partners with General Manager and Human Resources on promoting the safety & health, development, and retention of the workforce.
7. Serves as a key contact position at the facility for policies, strategic initiatives and issue resolution.
8. Initiates or recommends personnel actions, such as promotions, transfers, discharges, and disciplinary measures.
9. Responsible for successfully maintaining all required certifications and manufacturing compliances.
10. Develops plans for efficient use of materials, machines and personnel.
11. Recommends hiring and capital investment to meet existing and future needs of the facility.
12. Recommends annual budget to Board and is held accountable for maintaining approved budget with quarterly reviews and adjustments as required.
13. Prepares periodic sales report showing sales volume, potential sales, and areas of proposed client base expansion as outlined in the organization strategic plan.
14. Timely and accurate monthly financial reporting and analysis.
15. Submits routine reports to Board of Directors as required.
16. Confers with sales, customers and representatives of industries and suppliers to evaluate and promote improved processes and services.
17. Introduces current technology concepts to improve processes, reduce cycle times, and reducing costs with implementing preventive systems.
18. Assures that continuous improvement and development are incorporated in the goals and activities of assigned areas of responsibility.
19. Approves all non-discretionary purchases up to $ 1,000. Recommends and submits discretionary purchases to General Manager for Board of Director approval.
20. Reviews and approves invoices for payment and assures timely submission to accounting office for payment and recordkeeping.
21. Responsible for and assists sales representatives with RFQ processes and negotiations.
22. Determines with sales team the sales objectives and assists in developing strategies and action plans to achieve organization goals.
23. Reviews production costs, product quality, and delivery methods to assure understanding and competitiveness with sales quotes and purchasing functions.
24. Delivers and/or supports sales presentations to prospective and current customers.
25. Represents the organization at industry association meetings and trade shows to promote product.
26. Assists in the monitoring of the market position of competing products, services and organizations and evaluates their marketing and sales techniques.
27. Through consultation with General Manager and Board of Directors, prepares product and service quotes for customers, using estimation of market conditions and all relative cost factors to produce a competitive quote.
28. Maintains awareness of current market conditions to determine customer needs, price schedules, and discount rates. Paying close attention to product pricing when raw material costs increase.
29. Assists with the smooth and efficient communication and introduction of new jobs and product revisions to the facility, including customer training within the assigned business unit(s).
30. Establishes business relationships with assigned customers and suppliers and ensures they are managed properly.

Required Knowledge and Skills:
1. Bachelor's degree or above majoring in Operations, Engineering, or related area.
2. 5 or more years manufacturing management experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
3. Working experience with plastic/injection molding a plus.
4. Chinese native fluent in both English and Mandarin in speaking, reading and writing.
5. Mastery of Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, and Outlook.
6. Good working knowledge of the IQMS Manufacturing software.
