Main Purpose of Job:

1. Mainly responsible for commodity enquiry of as well as all new project RFQ and new kicked NPI.
2. Coordinate quoting activity for all multi-regional quotation.
3. Prepares RFQ package and collect competitive quotes from multiple suppliers.
4. Analyze pricing data and present value-add advantage to enhance the quote competitiveness.
5. Achieve cost reduction target by identifying new qualified suppliers or optimizing the cost level of exiting suppliers.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

1. Internal cooperation and communication
a. Attend kick off meeting BD initiated for new RFQ and NPI, and review quote doc as well as discuss related issue.
b. Closely work with SCM to make alternative source proposal to satisfy customer cost saving request.
c. Hold regular conference call with RD to discuss quote open issues and track customer’s feedback for each close/open RFQ and NPI
d. Cooperate and communicate with other departments as team work.

2. Supply Chain Management
a. Develop and maintain supplier relationships to ensure the good partnership with the suppliers.
b. Negotiate with supplier to ensure the company owns the best cost and quality for commodities
c. Support SCM team to develop and update supplier and commodity database
d. Visit supplier aligning with SCM team to achieve a win-win results

3. Daily work arrangement, Problem Solving, Training, Conference Organization, Report Analysis.
a. Make reasonable planning based on the daily work, estimate workload, allocate reasonably working hours, ensure the work be completed on time. Assists manager to complete the routine work tracing, various departments' communication and the coordinated work.
b. Responsible for the timely settlement sudden client feedback, complaints, solving urgent cases, control RFQ and NPI schedule, able to solve problems independently.
c. Cost analysis capability and negotiation skills，keep update on the competitiveness of supplier chain
d. Hold regular meeting for issue discussion, sum up the experience gained past work, and improve work method to raise work efficiency, implement superior instructions well.
e. Complete and update weekly report and win_lose_report.

4. Report to Sourcing Commodity Manager on daily basis; follow the instruction from sourcing Commodity Manager.

5. Familiarise themselves with,and confirm to EHS policy,report all accidents,incidents,near misses and damage to their team leader or manager.

Qualifications:

1. Education/Experience/Credentials
Junior colleague degree or above with engineering or business background, with 3+ years fully time purchasing, sourcing, and local supplier development experience on assigned commodity.
2. Language Ability
Capable of using English as basis tool for email, engineering specification, and supplier process audit and take international conference call.
3. Computer Skills
Good in PC skills, especially in excel and PowerPoint

Subsidiary Elements:

1. Dedicated to sourcing and supplier management in EMS or ODM factory.
2. Experience on low volume, high mix products for telecom, networking, industrial and automotive is a plus.
3. With sound knowledge on materials, manufacturing process and cost analysis for assigned commodity
4. Well communicator, good negotiator and team player.
5. Self-motivated, able to work under pressure with minimum supervision, to achieve the requested qualify of assigned tasks
