Responsibilities:
? Direct and oversee all aspects of mechatronics engineering activities in China, covering product/processes/tooling development, validation, launch and product life management:
o Product/process/tooling development towards customer requirement and business target
o Design review and sign-off, lessons learned
o Lead product launch and ramp up to meet the target of cost and quality
o Lead productivity (VAVE, conversion cost, COPQ…) improvement activities
o Technical support for whole product life
? Support, lead as required, and work with other engineering leaders to achieve regional and global engineering targets (platform implementation, design re-use, etc)
? Manage department budget and capital expenditures
? Identify potential short- or long-term risks and set priorities of strategy and execution
? Develop talents and resources needed and build effective team to support the target of mechatronics product line.
Qualifications/Experience/Skills:
? Science or engineering degree; specialty in electronics, mechanical or automation; master degree or above is preferred.
? Minimum 10 years experience in leading product/process/tooling development, work experience in automotive OEM or tier 1 supplier is preferred.
? Strong leadership is must (managing vision and purpose, organizational agility, drive for results, developing direct reports)
? Knowledge/experience in mechatronics or similar industry are plus:
o Automotive systems development, such as ABS/ESP
o Winding, welding, soldering, robot, overmolding, stamping process development
o Tooling development
o Product/project launch management
o Quality management
? Familiar with TS16949 requirements and its implementation.
? Certified PMP and/or certified Six Sigma Black Belt are plus.
? Excellent communication skill (fluent English required)
? Conceptual thinker with strong attention to details
? Open-minded, Stress resistant & Time management abilities
