Prototype Purchasing
Title: Prototype Purchasing Engineer
General Purpose of this position:
1. Support the advanced engineering purchasing activities for Shanghai engineering center;
2. Complete the rapid sample with 3D printer to meet PE's requirement on time;
Reports to: Prototype group supervisor/leader
Location: 668 Gui Ping Road, Shanghai, China
Responsibilities:
? Analyze part drawing from PE, work together with procurement on all requests and search available supplier from approved vendor list to get quotation, compare the quality and lead time, then choose the final supplier for various samples, such as metal testing Jigs, plastic sealing and so on.
? Judge the quotation rationality with procurement, and control the spending and goods quality strictly.
? Handle the quotation approval procedure with related product engineer.
? Tracing the material purchasing status, and reduce the purchasing cycle time
? Complete the rapid sample building to meet PE's requirement, ensuring the machine operated in conditions of safety and maintain the 3D printer according to relevant maintenance plan.
? Make a record of the entire prototype sample making and engineering spending, then report the summary to related departments by monthly.
? Strictly in accordance with company procedures, instruction, rules and all regulations to daily work, maintain the working area cleaning..
? Support supervisor to develop prototype capability and reduce the spending.
Qualifications/Experience/Skills:
? College/Bachelor degree mechanical, automation, electrical engineering or related disciplines.
? Can understand and analyze the drawings, minimum 2 years experience in electronics factory, have good background on engineering.
? Master general characters of metal and plastic.
? Familiar with material purchasing skill or supplier management is preferred.
? Self motivated and accountable.
? Strong interpersonal and communication and negotiation skills.
? Good at English language ability in reading and writing
? Business minded and Quality conscious
