职位描述

1．PURPOSE目的
To generate technologies that enable our healthcare business to expand/improve its portfolio of products aimed at screening or diagnosis of chronic disease

2. WORKING RELATIONSHIPS工作关系
- Line manager/ Title: Linda Jin
- Number of Subordinates : none
- External relationship: Hospitals in Shanghai, details of collaboration will be disclosed after assignment is given to candidate. External vendors for prototype built up.


3. PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES主要工作职责
- Play an active role in the project team by contributing creative ideas aimed at developing new technologies that will be used in a medical device.
- Design, implement, test and improve biomedical prototype in lab settings that demonstrate the performance of the new technology.
- Prepare and execute clinical tests for the new technology in the collaborated hospital.
- Actively collaborate with colleagues in Philips that are working in related fields and assist your colleagues, both in China and abroad, by sharing/discussing your insights.

4. MAJOR CHALLENGES主要挑战
The major challenges for the candidate are

1) Design, implementation, testing and improvement of prototype
2) Be able to quickly ramp up in related medical field and gain corresponding clinical domain knowledge, use the gained knowledge in system development
3) Prove the success of the measurement system through building convincing prototypes, by yourself or in collaboration with other team members

5. JOB REQUIREMENTS岗位要求
a) Education学历:
Excellent research experience in the field of Mechanotronics, Mechanics or Biomedical engineering, as demonstrated by having obtained a PhD or MSc degree. The degree should be supported by publications in renowned international journals.

b) Experience工作经验:
Experience (2 years +) in working with biomedical system development. Preferably experience in developing respiratory medical equipment, or where you worked on HW-SW integration.

Technical skills: Design and prototyping capability
Software development skills using practical languages such as Matlab etc.
Architectural thinking and system design ability
With design experience in medical/respiratory domain is a plus
Experience on user ability relevant project

Broader skills: A quick learner and be able to apply the newly gained medical domain knowledge in your work, in particular, in areas that not touched upon before, such as medical/clinical knowledge
Social skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Drive, entrepreneurial behaviour, result oriented and quality driven.
Excellent communication skills. English language skills to at least CET level 6.
Positive mindset.
