Position Summary

1. Sous Chef manages all employees in the SLC kitchen.

2. Ensures that grooming standards of the employees are up to standard.

3. Ensures employees are following standard recipes and service standards.

4. Ensures that deliveries are received correctly

5. Ensures hygiene standards are met by every employee.

6. Assist Head Chef with recruitment for the kitchen.

7. Ensures good communication with the F&B service team.

8. Assists the Head Chef with the daily ordering.

9. Gives input into local cuisine and ingredients.

10. Ensures that the chefs produce minimal wastage.

11. Trains the kitchen team according to the Head Chefs direction

Requirements:

Knowledge / Experience
Divisional or BU Experience	Operated as Sous Chef of one or more of the following BUs: § Kitchen § Hotel Operation
Functional Experience / Track Record	§ Communication in Chinese and advanced English § Sous Chef
Industries Experience	One or more of the following: § F&B § Hospitality
Geographical Experience	Shanghai and Western experience will be an advantage
Management Experience	More than 2 years of hotel / restaurant experience with supervising a team of minimum 20 staff
Education / Qualification / Certification	Completion of apprenticeship or hotel school diploma
Language	Mandarin / English
