Position Overview:

The Logistics Engineer TMS Asia optimizes, standardizes and facilitates the use of TE’s Transportation Management System (TMS), implements TMS at new sites and leads TMS-related Transportation projects in the Asia region. The engineer works closely with TEIS, BU’s and sites in order to achieve its goals towards the optimized usage of the TMS. The Engineer is a member of the Global Logistics Department and reports to the Director Global Transportation who is based in Europe.

Responsibilities:
? 100% TMS-deployment in the Asia region
? Compliance at all sites in Asia according the designed TMS-processes
? Optimized usage of the TMS-functionalities in the Asia region
? Documentation of the TMS-related business processes
? Translation of business requirements into TMS solutions
? Solution design in TMS
? Function as the TMS-helpdesk in the Asia region
? Initiation of master data cleanup activities at BU’s/sites
? Support to the Transportation Control Center for Asia on their business processes
? Support to the Rate Management Team on Tariff structures and logic in TMS
? Run projects with project plan, project team and action tracker
? Write business requirement documents for TEIS and follow-up on implementation
? Maintain close relationship with TEIS as the owner of the TMS-software
? Communication with BU’s about TMS benefits and tools
? Communication with carriers about their benefits and obligations towards TE’s TMS

Position Qualifications/Competencies - Required
? Strong project management, communication and organizational skills.
? Must have experience as a project leader, leading cross functional teams, task management skills, and achieving quality results through team interaction and effective cross-group collaboration.
? Prior experience in working with logistics processes
? Minimum 4 years of business process, systems analysis, and project management experience required.
? Strong problem solving capabilities. Results oriented. Relies on fact-based logic for decision-making.
? Ability to work with multiple projects and work streams at one time. Must be able to deliver results based upon project deadlines.
? Experience working in a global organization a plus. Must be able to travel worldwide and will flex daily work schedule to allow for time-zone differences for global team communications. Travel (~25%) within Asia.
? Ability to provide effective written communications and project management documentation

Preferred:
? Understanding of SAP delivery processing (outbound & inbound).
? Prior experience in transportation / logistics software.
? Forwarder/carrier integration experience

Required Education Level:
? Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Logistics OR equivalent experience and knowledge required.
