Overall purpose of job:
Investment Banking Coverage works with all business lines to develop new and enhance existing client relationships. Coverage bankers are responsible for keeping up to date with market movements and new product lines to be able to pro-actively pitch business to potential and existing clients and maximize the profitability of existing relationships. Working closely with other areas of the bank, Investment Banking Coverage professionals use their broad knowledge of our business to combine with the more specialized skills of each product units to prepare for and win competitive pitches. Once the business has been secured, Investment Banking Coverage ensures that things run smoothly by bringing together all of OCBC Global Investment Banking's services into one seamless offering. Coverage bankers will work closely together with product partners of OCBC Bank to form a tight-knit network that delivers each client with a comprehensive array of financial solutions to cover their complete range of financial needs.

Main activities / tasks (Principal accountabilities):
To assist the Head of GIB Greater China to lead in the building and development of a coverage function in China. To build client portfolio and originate investment banking businesses (including IPO, corporate finance advisory, direct investments, syndication loans, fixed income and bond issuance). To originate business, lead product development and deal execution for GIB activities in China working closely with other departments within the bank in China and Singapore.

Knowledge and skills:
- High proficiency in English and Mandarin (written and verbal)
- Strong structuring and financial modelling skills

Education, qualification and special training:
? University degree with post grad qualification
? CFA/CPA (a plus)
? Overseas post grad degree (a plus)

Experience: (eg. years of related experience required in this position)
? Not less than 7 years working experience in originating and executing investment banking services (mainly in China)
? Not less than 3 years working experience in banking, legal or audit firms (a plus)
? Extensive network among IPO, banking, legal, audit professionals in China
? Familiar with IPO and listing regulations of China, Singapore and other overseas market
? Familiar with corporate banking market (esp DCM) in China (a plus)
