KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1.Interacts closely with other engineering team members supporting large projects.
2.Assists with the installation, debugging, validation and start-up of new production equipment or processes.
3.Demonstrates initiative routinely taking on challenging tasks that improve processes.
4.Provides mentoring of the other Mechanical/Electrical Techs.
5.Proposes design changes to supervisor in the areas of equipment upgrade, problem elimination, quality improvements and reduced costs. Works at all levels and across teams to facilitate these changes.
6.Performs major machine repair and overhaul as required, initiating purchase requisitions when outside repair is needed.
7.Diagnoses and correction of mechanical, electrical and electronic malfunctions which are beyond the capabilities of Setup personnel.
8.Performs preventative maintenance as scheduled.
9.Advises Parts Crib Attendant of parts needed for immediate use or for stocking locations and initiates purchase requisitions when non-stocked parts are needed.
10.Installs, tests, repairs, and adjusts electrical and electronic equipment such as recording, regulating, indicating and controlling instruments.
11.Manufactures new parts or repairs existing electrical parts as appropriate.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES
1.Requires a two-year degree from a technical school in electrical or electronic field.
2.Minimum of 4 years related experience as a Mechanical Electrical Technician.
3.Good English both oral and written.
4.Has developed complex control systems, which have demonstrated the use of complex ladder logic and Servo based code programming skills. Has worked closely with other engineering team members supporting the installation, debug, validation and start-up of complex production equipment or processes.
5.Strong oral and written communication skills required.
6.Ability to operate computer, fork truck, pallet truck, small hand tools, electronic test equipment, etc, in successful completion of tasks.
