RESPONSIBILITY:

1. Define, plan and implement projects that fulfill the needs of customers and support the Strategic Plan.
2. Lead Asia design engineering team:
a. Monitors activities of product design groups.
b. Prepares and presents performance reviews and develops training plans for direct reports.
c. Is the focal point for other departments needing interaction and/or input from the R&D Department.
3. Continually inform management of project business purposes, schedules, costs, status and risks..
4. Prepare and manage department expense budget to meet and exceed goals.
5. Produce design, product and application documentation of high quality that fulfills the needs of internal and external users.
6. Apply new and leading edge product and manufacturing technologies to gain competitive advantage.
7. Produce superior products that satisfy the needs of Asia Manufacturing and have lower manufacturing costs than competitive products.
8. Create, foster and help lead the interdepartmental teamwork required for aggressive and successful product development between key departments.
9. Foster and apply creativity and innovation to achieve competitive advantage. Use unconventional solutions when appropriate. Create intellectual property when advantageous.
10. Create and maintain an environment in which staff are highly motivated to perform and grow. Provide opportunities and support for career growth and continuing education.
11. Define appropriately high performance standards and attract, develop and retain staffs that perform these standards.
12. Effectively apply appropriate project management tools and methods.
13. Know and understand competitive products and technologies.
14. Manage and optimize product cost versus performance and project schedule versus cost versus risk.
15. Manage Environmental Engineer to ensure our products can cope with RoHS, REACH, and other environmental related substances.


REQUIREMENTS (EDUCATIN, EXPEREINCE AND CORE COMPETENCE , ETC):
1. Bachelor of Electronic Engineer or with similar working experience
2. Must be able to communicate in English, both writing and speaking
3. Oversea graduate is preferred
4. Working experience with multinational passive component company is preferred
5. Able to travel and multitasking
6. At least 5 years of transformer design experience with 3 years in Supervisor or Manager level
