Job Description
Scope of responsibility:
The person is to be responsible of production planning and scheduling,
material procurement, purchasing, warehousing, inbound and outbound
shipment, local and third-party logistics, and customs management.
Key Accountabilities:
Manage and motivate a team of Supply Chain personnel for the best
performance and practices
Ensure and enforce system integrity and disciplines, meeting
Corporate Governance and legal compliance
Review the current systems and practices, and make strategic
recommendations for improved processes going forward including
production introductions, order and supplier management, inventory
management and logistics, supporting financial goals
Develop and manage Key Performance Indicators and circulate to key
teams
Manage Supply Chain Management budgets and strive for increased
cost efficiency
Champion all changes in operating processes in order to optimize
efficiency and capability
Review and ensure best practice in inventory management and
champion inventory best practice across Asia
Manage the relationship with our business partners and third-party
logistics provider
Create sourcing and purchasing synergy, including leveraging global
purchasing power to create a world-wide strategic supplier
partnership
Champion open and honest communication, and foster collaborative
relationships with internal teams and external parties
Cooperate with our Corporate planning and world-wide sales order
processing to achieve the highest customer satisfaction in terms of
product delivery and availability
Liaison with government bodies to smoothen the concerned
processes
Skills and Behavior:
The ideal candidate will have significant experience in Supply Chain
management and will demand the highest standards in efficiency,
service and value for money. The person will possess courage and strong
leadership to challenge the status quo, s/he will be able to quickly assess
the practices currently in operation and recommend long-term strategic
improvements to further advance the function. Key to delivering a first
class supply chain function will be the individual's ability to interface
with internal departments and external service providers at all levels in
order to foster collaborative practices which allow our business to thrive.
The person will take a hands-on approach, lead by example and be
driven towards completion. S/he will be a real team player, retaining a
sense of humor under pressure.
Job Requirements
Experience / Qualifications:
Minimum 5 year experiences in a similar role and position
Experience within the electronics component manufacturing sector is
preferable but not essential
Experience with Oracle or similar ERP or MRP is a must
Proven track record of delivering improvements in cost, quality and
delivery in the supply chain
Knowledge and understanding of quality standards such as ISO
Good command of both spoken and written English
Be willing to have frequent travels within the PRC
