Experience:
Automotive within a TS16949 environment.
Automotive electronics associated to design of sensors using Hall Effect technology, MR/GMR or inductive technology. Electrical component selection and design of printed circuit board layout.
Proven experience of design for EMI/EMC and EMC/ESD validation testing.
Proven design experience developing microcontrollers applications.
Circuit design using discrete logic / programmable logic
PLC Programming
PC based programming i.e. Visual Basic or Visual C++
Use of LabView
3 years experience, ideally in the development of sensing technology, with a track record of bringing projects to a successful completion.
Good man-management and organisational skills, evidenced in career progression to date.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Electrical design, development and testing of sensors using Hall Effect technology amongst others and analogue / digital communication and micro controller development.
Interface with customers to provide technical demonstrations of and technical support concerning the electrical and magnetic circuit design of Hamlin products.
Involvement in the development of the design of a sensor, making sure that its performance meets a written specification working in close collaboration with mechanical engineers.
Involvement with EMC/electrical test plan set up and testing which including EMC load box/circuit build and test tracking etc.
Write reports and technical specifications for product designs and hardware testing. This will include schematics, wiring diagrams, parts list and program data.
Manage the electrical lab which including technician, equipments and gages.
Interface with customers to establish their sensing requirements and to work to with them in the uptake of existing or new technologies.
Interface with PCBA/Hall chip suppliers on integration design and issue solve.
Develop engineering design standards to guide the implementation of new technologies that have been worked on.
Develop technical demonstrations to promote understanding of new technology and potential future applications for sensor products.
Support engineers to find out root cause of failed sensor.
Qualifications: Education
Bachelor degree in Electronic Engineering or related subject.
Knowledge and Skills
Ability to working within a team and supervise others
Ability to make decisions and work under pressure
Must be a good communicator
Ability to work under minimal supervision
Good English in both oral and written.
