Education
Master Degree in math, physic or mechanical.
Experience
At least 3 years proven track experience of Comsol multi-physics, Magneto/Amperes or Matlab software.
Proven track record of successful product design and development
Proven basic project management experience.
Knowledge and Skills
Well understanding of FEA.
Basic knowledge with Material Science, Mechanism.
Ability to effectively learn about magnets and sensors.
Ability to effectively create unique solutions for individual applications.
Teamwork skills
Strong communication in English and organizational skills
Basic technical ability with knowledge of manufacturing and assembly processes
3D model software experience, such as Solid Edge/UG/Catia/Proe/SolidWorks.
Basic understanding of GD&T of plastic parts.
Well-developed analytical and conceptual thinking capacity;

Modelling (Main responsibilities)
Actively participate in DFMEA and Design reviews.
Support R&D in modelling and simulation of magnet and plastic parts.
Provide all Finite Element Analysis for new product development and for root cause and value analyses on current production products.
Document technical aspects of projects, maintain data and prepare proposals and presentations as required.
Help disseminate Finite Element Analysis knowledge to engineering community.
Actively identify Finite Element Analysis needs and issues throughout the company.
Product Design (Partial responsibilities)
Custom product concept design and development through Hamlin Design Factory in response to Sales department enquiries.
Review supplier moulding/stamping tooling proposal and follow up the tooling development regarding design issues.
Product design enhancements through CI & VAVE projects.
Use tools such as FMEA as a pro-active engineering quality method to help identify and counter weak points in the early conception phase.
Draft DV/PV plan for environment test and EMC test.
Coordinate/track the CV/DV validation process and solve issues related to design.
Perform feasibility analysis using simulation techniques and real life testing via DOE and other test methods.
Track the CV/DV sample build process and work out the work instructions with support from manufacturing and QA engineers.
Monitor the yield rate and investigate the root cause of failure during CV/DV sample build process.
Lead the design review process and prepare related documents.
New technology investigation.
Record and update Lessons Learned documents after project completion.
Project Management Requirements
Use of APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning) process and associated document.
Lead cross-functional teams to deliver Hamlin projects launches on time and budget. Ensure that these teams achieve all customer and company requirements for (new or changed products) programs including quality, cost, delivery, product performance and customer satisfaction.
Lead the regular project review meeting and update AIR list.
Maintain good communication within the company, customer and suppliers
Prepare documents for the tollgate review and complete all APQP checklists.
Perform and accompany customer and supplier visits.
Presentation of project updates to Customer and Management at regular intervals using RYG status system.
