We are currently seeking an Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Assistant. You will coordinate environmental, health and safety activities with guidance from the EHS supervisor.



The primary responsibilities of the role include (but are not limited to):


?Assisting the EHS Supervisor in liaising with other organizations and relevant authorities
?Providing assistance in relation to EHS audits and supplying remedial actions
?Supporting the EHS Supervisor in performing routine inspections of the system and recommending improvements wherever necessary
?Keeping up-to-date with new legislation and health and safety standards
?Maintaining the EHS database
?Ensuring the appropriate waste treatment processes are followed
?Controlling specialized equipment and operator management processes
?Wearing the appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
?Adhering to company policies and guidelines


Qualifications

The successful candidate should be able to demonstrate the following selection criteria:


?Knowledge of (EHS) principles and guidelines
?Ability to perform basic to intermediate computer operations
?Ability to read and write simple information in English
