Job Summary: This position is responsible for the day-to-day operations and maintenance of all Linux Servers and applications.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Manage Linux Systems on required hardware platforms in a production environment with minimum downtime.

Manage all applications inclusive to, but not limited to DNS, RADIUS, LDAP, Apache, Sendmail, Postifix, MySQL, and PHP. In addition, be proficient in writing scripts, and maintaining backups.

Design, configure, install and maintain all hardware including, but not limited to clustered, stand alone servers, blade servers, running VMware, and storage solutions including, RAID, and SAN technology.

Provide technical support, training and technical documentation to the IT and production departments.

Work with the production engineer and other personnel/departments to analyze hardware requirements and alternatives and make acquisition recommendations.

Document server configurations, and scripts, and all other relevant information in a repository to share

Experience in the following domain areas are highly preferred:

- 4+ years experience with CentOS/RedHat/Ubuntu Linux system maintenance, upgrade, secruity harden, and user account administration

- Proficient on LAMP (Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP)

- Deep understanding with iSCSI/fiber SAN storage network/Cisco firewall and switch

- Experience in Python, Perl, or Bash scripting

- Strong knowledge on TCP/IP, firewall rule sets, NFS, Samba, and Nagios

- Experience on VMware Vsphere, Sun Grid Engine, HPC/Hadoop cluster, Galaxy, Starcluster, or Amazon Web Services (AWS) are big plus

- Experience on Microsoft Windows Operating Systems (Server 2003/2008/2012, XP and Win 7)

- Possesses infrastructure team leadership capabilities

- Fluent oral and writing English is a big plus
