BASIC PURPOSE OF THE POSITION
Responsible for overseeing all manufacturing activities and efficient production at a desired level of quantity, quality and cost. Optimize the production process to ensure effective production schedules and efficient use of manpower, material and equipment. Team Management and leadership: staffing, performance management, and coaching for team members.


PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
1. Coordinates with other dept. managers in planning and implementing manufacturing programs;
2. Advise management on manufacturing activities, performance, results and recommends corrective actions;
3. Review processing schedules and production orders to make decisions concerning inventory requirements, staffing requirements, work procedures, and duty assignments, considering budgetary limitations and time constraints;
4. Initiate and coordinate production cost control programs, Manage and execute various programs that leading to improvements in quality, costs and overall efficiency;
5. Evaluating and improving manufacturing methods, layouts, equipment and techniques;
6. Set and monitor product standards, examing samples of new/raw products or directing.Testing during processing, to ensure finished products are of prescribed quality;
7. Develop and implement production tracking and quality control systems, analyzing production, quality control, maintenance, and other operational reports, to detect production problems;
8. Determine proper staffing and skill levels for the operation, Labor and Material WIP control and optimization;
9. Line balancing among different work stations and area capacity analysis for better work flow process;
10. Prepare and maintain production reports.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS
1. Bachelor degree or above in mechanical engineering or related;
2. Min 6 years experience in mechanical industry, out of which, 3 years on production manager/supervisor position; 3. Good knowledge and experience in lean manufacturing, process improvement, quality control and ERP;
4. Technical knowledge and experience, such as refrigeration, assembly, sheet metal;
5. Fluent English both in written and oral;
6. Leadership and execution skills, Able to motivate people and implement systems, and able to drive continuous improvement.
7. Good communication skill, Capability of transforming conflicts into cooperation.
