Position: Asia Pacific Costing Manager
Report to: AP Finance Director
Location: Pudong, Shanghai
Responsibilities
? Live the Safety stand, adhere to the safety responsibilities.
? Implement a personal safety action plan and review with leader.
? Ensure that all finance team members are safe both inside and outside office in the course of carrying out work related activities.
? Operation Analysis and Reporting
? Work closely with the plant managers and the relevant business teams to understand the plant operating issues, lead monthly regular reviews and develop actions to address issues identified
? Act as centralized expertise to drive standard cost accuracy improvement initiatives, reporting and analysis standardization, system automation etc to improve the team's abilities to manage cost structure for all production facilities
? Monitor and track manufacturing standard cost variances by plant and by product line after month end closing
? Lead regular reviews with the plant finance manager, plant managers and relevant teams such as supply chain team on the manufacturing variance results, inventory, commodity price trends, cost spending against budget, cost reduction initiatives
? Supervise monthly financial result reports, including manufacturing variances, commodity tracking, KPI and monthly variance forecast with support from plant finance managers. Focus on report accuracy and consistency to ensure standardization among all plants.
? Facilitate monthly manufacturing performance meetings with plant leaders, plant controllers, manufacturing director, and finance director to review the current spending, the budget control status, and future rolling forecast
? Support plant controllers on the monthly SAP CO closing, and validate the SAP CO closing result.
? Escalate to the leadership team on a timely manner for major issues identified such as key cost variations and to propose corrective actions
? Budget and Forecast
? Lead the preparation of annual manufacturing cost budgeting, rolling forecast and outlook, reporting package, standard cost review etc
? Supervise preparations of the rolling forecast on a monthly basis and improve the accuracy
? KPI and Performance Tracking
? Lead development of KPIs and target setting for all key gates in the entire supply chain
? Track and monitor actual and forecast results and to lead the development of corrective action plans with various business partners when necessary
? Supervise follow up actions to ensure proper actions are taken to close issues identified
? Benchmark among internal and external targets and to lead best practice sharing
? Manage the daily plant dashboard reporting and to report and abnormalities
? Cost and Inventory Control
? Lead and initiate cost optimization initiatives and to establish targets for cost control
? Lead costing audits to ensure cost management targets are met
? Manage ongoing tracking and analysis of trends in key cost components such as material costs, unit labor costs and other overhead costs
? Lead inventory management initiatives to maximize working capital efficiency
? Capital Expenditure, Project and Fixed Asset Management
? Lead regular CAPEX applications reviews
? Lead monthly capital spending review meeting with plant leaders, plant controllers, manufacturing leader and the finance director
? Supervise and manage fixed assets management policy and procedures to ensure proper safeguarding of company assets in accordance with company procedures
? Work closely with project leaders and mfg leader to monitor the capital spending to ensure proper alignment with CAPEX budget.
? Work with relevant business partners such as project leader and accounts payable to lead and manage new projects such as contract compliance and disbursement controls
? Compliance and Continuous Improvements
? Ensure full compliance of the relevant accounting principles such as the US and China GAAP, practices and procedures and OC internal requirements
? Ensure proper compliance with all OC policies and procedures for all relevant financial transactions, such as sales recognition, receipts and payments etc, in particular with regards to the Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) rules applied to US listed companies
? Identify and report relevant risks on a timely manner to enable adequate actions to be taken to protect the company's interest
? Ensure proper maintenance of audit trail for security of assets and recommend any improvements of our current system
? Training and Coaching
? Lead and design training for all plant controller on technical and non-technical topics
? Coach the team to build a cohesive and enthusiastic team that provide proactive and professional support to the business
? Interface with internal and external stakeholders
? Coordinate effectively with internal stakeholders such as working closely with IT team to support SAP system maintenance, improvement and implementation, working closely with the supply chain and sales team to ensure order fulfillment targets are met
? Work with the AP and Corporate teams to enforce compliance on existing corporate and group accounting policies, guidelines, and procedures
Requirements
? Degree in Finance and Accounting is mandatory. Certification of accountant or CPA or CIMA preferred
? Over 10 years' costing experiences from a manufacturing environment with at least 3 years' in a supervisory role
? Experiences in leading cross-cultural team is preferred
? Practical knowledge of SAP system for all relevant manufacturing modules (version 6.0 preferred)
? Familiar with standard costing methodology, cost variance analysis, general cost control, internal control, Purchase to Payment cycle, process improvement, relevant policy and procedures to reinforce internal control at the manufacturing facilities
? Understands the business interaction between manufacturing operation, supply chain, sales and innovation teams
? Customers focused, internal and external alike
? Excellent communication skills both Chinese and English
? Excellent leadership skills to lead a cross cultural team and ability to motivate
