The BU Pulp and Performance Chemicals is the leading global supplier of bleaching chemicals used in pulp manufacture, and performance chemicals used for the production of paper and board. Separation Products (Kromasil？) is a unit within the sBU Silica and Paper Chemicals.
Separation Products runs a unique product program of silica-based separation products to HPLC (High Performance Liquid Chromatography). The products, marketed under the brand name (Kromasil？), are used both for analysis and for purification in the production of pharmaceuticals.
Vacancy: regional marketing and sales manager Asia Pacific
Reports to: Manager Global Marketing and Sales
Location: Shanghai
Responsibilities:
-Define long and short term Sales and Marketing objectives, for the region, that are aligned with objectives of the global Sales and Marketing organization within Separation Products. All with the purpose of developing sustainable and profitable business for Separation Products.
-Propose a sales budget and marketing activities for the region. Plan and execute all conferences/exhibitions, marketing activities with the region. Coordinate planning of the conferences/exhibitions with the Product Managers.
-Ensure that global policies for Separation Products are implemented within the region. Such as, the price policy, business principles, agreements.
-Select distributors for each country within the region. Ensure a high level of Kromasil products knowledge within the sales forces of the distributing company. Set sales targets and follow them up, implement campaigns, execute training.
-Achieve set sales targets and targets related to appropriate KPI's, PPI's and PI's for BSC/Separation Products.
-Generate a sales budget proposal for the region and achieve decide sales budget. -Give technical qualified presentation at conferences and customer sites, within the region.
-Give technical application advice to customers. Coordinate coorespondence between the customers and personnel within Separation Products.
-Increase the level of presence, on the market, through appropriate delegation of marketing and customer activities.
Requirements:
-Minimum Master's Degree but preferably PhD., in chemical engineering or chemistry.
-Experience (>5 years) in international marketing and sales of products with high technical level of complexity.
-Excellent knowledge and experience (>5 years) within all aspects of chromatography, especially within HPLC, both with respect to theoretical aspects as well as hands-on experience.
-Ability to lead, engage and coach others -Some insight in the manufacturing of pharmaceuticals, especially the purification of both synthetic and recombinant APIs (Downstream Processing).
-Strong communication skills, both oral and in writing.
-Excellent knowledge in English, both oral and in writing.
-Fluent in Mandarin and preferably also in Cantonese.
