Project Manager (Product Development) For our Project Management department we are looking for Integral Technical Project Managers, who are responsible for managing cross functional product development projects together with marketing, technical competence departments and (international) industrial partners. Your challenge As an Integral Technical Project Manager you will be part of the technical development organization of one of the product categories. Your challenge is to lead the new product development projects from initiation, through technical development and industrialization, up to production ramp up and market introduction. Your responsibilities As an Technical Project Manager you will be responsible for project management of new product development projects. This can be products from any of the product categories (male shaving and grooming devices, sleep applications, vacuum cleaners, kitchen appliances and coffee machines). The project management role includes: · Managing an integral project that starts from an initial product idea up to mass production. This means you have full technical project leadership from an R&D perspective, including allocating international resources. Project budgets vary from 0.5 to more. The amount of employees involved varies between 2 and 20, depending of the scope and the phase of the project. · Aligning and realizing commercial and business requirements with marketing and sales organization, both related to the value proposition that will be realized and to the market introduction of the product. You will translate these requirements into key performance targets for the project team. · Leading and developing the multi-functional project team, ensuring the project team realizes it’s objectives and supporting team members in their professional development. · Managing the stakeholders in the project environment, that include R&D, industrial and business management. · From your vision on the (innovation) portfolio, you are co-creating the product and technical roadmap. In doing so you directly influence the project portfolio and initiate projects by assessing the quality of the input based on a business perspective. Your team A new innovation site is set-up in Shanghai for male grooming products, supported by innovation site in Drachten the Netherlands. Within the innovation site Shanghai you are responsible for the development of innovative consumer products. Each innovation site has a Project Management group where Technical Project Managers are responsible for managing cross functional product development projects together with marketing, technical competence departments and (international) industrial partners. We are looking for To be successful in this challenging environment you bring: · A Masters degree in Engineering · At least 5 years of engineering and managerial experience in technical product development, preferably in a consumer / mass production environment. (An experience in production / manufacturing is an advantage.) · You have well developed analytical skills and a fundamental understanding of innovation (improvement) processes. · You apply these from a market- and customer focus and results are what drives you. · You have strong people management skills, are an open communicator and a decision maker, able to influence on different levels. · You are fluent (verbally & in writing) in English. You have the potential to grow further in the technology and development organization and, in a few years, be a potential candidate to become the technology leader of a business line.
