Role Summary/Purpose

The Sourcing Leader will provide subject matter expertise and tactical execution to drive value, quality and compliance among GEIP’s supplier base. This is a key position which will work with contract manufacturers and commodity suppliers to GEIP manufacturing operations globally.

Essential Responsibilities

1. Responsible for suppliers’ qualification process for EMD, Electronic/PWB commodities, including but not limited West/North china and Southeast Asia Countries. 2. Manage suppliers’ performance for those commodities and regions. 3. Work closely with North America, Europe and India counterparts for BCC (Best Cost Countries) sourcing programs. 4. Work with Sourcing teams to increase BCC buy & drive deflation. 5. Work closely with Engineering on NPI opportunities, prototypes quality conformation as well as new products first delivery FA (First Article) approval. 6. Provide Indirect Sourcing support for compliance due diligence and for engineering production or technical support services. 7. Act as Asia Sourcing Leader to Develop, implement and lead overall suppliers’ strategy for commodity area, including simplification, ensuring sourcing process integrity, and optimize productivity, quality and fulfillment. 8. Work synergy with GE China division sourcing teams.

Qualifications/Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering discipline, computer science or business• Demonstrated experience in effectively communicating with external and internal entities such as suppliers and cross functional teams• Minimum 8 years’ experience in Manufacturing, Sourcing or Quality, solid engineering, quality and sourcing skill-set• Strong communication and negotiation skills with the ability to work effectively & independently• Fluent in English, Mandarin, and Proficiency in computer skillsELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENT:GE will only employ those who are legally authorized to work. • Ability to travel approximately 50%• Lean Six Sigma Green or Black Belt certification (GE only)• Engineering/manufacturing experience• Self-starter with ability to work with limited day-to-day direction• Knowledge in interconnector, cable assembly, sheet metal forming, stamping and plastic injection• Knowledge of various manufacturing techniques and systems• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing policies and practices• Strong oral and written and presentation communication skills• Strong interpersonal and leadership skills• Change agent with the ability to influence at all levels
