Job Output:
？ Lead and Maintain efforts for Corporate Compliance to Environmental, Health & Safety Rules. Monitor and ensure adherence to practice high safety standards, and lead and maintain a safe working environment.
？ Assist Lab Manager, as required..
？ Provide training, mentoring and coaching to all lab personnel.
？ Maintain statistical data on processes and back-up archive documents, databases.
？ Maintain Lab equipment in good working order, along with yearly calibrations, or as needed.
？ Work in a team environment to suggest, justify, and validate Production Process Improvements to create a more lean manufacturing process, take out costs, while maintaining the quality and performance of the product structure(s).

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
？ Ensure all environmental, health and safety rules and guidelines are being adhered to and maintain high safety standards and a safe working environment.
？ Assist Laboratory Manager to build quality control procedures of laboratory activities and maintain its normal operations and timely update in compliance with Armstrong global standard.
？ Assist Laboratory Manager to analyze, plot and interpret quality data to monitor for trends and detect abnormalities. Investigate the causes of quality problems.
？ Perform any special projects when requested by the Lab Manager.
？ Participate actively in all production process improvement efforts.
？ Provide technical training for all lab personnel using good scientific practices including labelling
and good documentation.
？ Coach lab staff on scientific methodology and designed experimentation practices for all testing
and inspection activities in the lab.
？ Record and archive Lab files in timely and correct manner. Provide feedback to Laboratory Manager where necessary.
？ Support all Chip Shop product and process testing, along with documentation from any third part testing
at independent outside laboratories.
？ Ensure the availability of appropriate instrument to perform measurement, inspection and test of samples.
？ Maintain equipment daily and calibration and verification system base on Lab requirement and plan.
？ Support new raw material evaluation and new product development.
？ Provide technical support to Sales and Marketing team.

？ Safety – “0” tolerance. No near misses, Recordables or Days Away in Lab or while working in the Plant.
？ Functional Leader in the teaching/mentoring the Chip Shop process to others within the organization.
？ Zero Downtime in Lab due to faulty lab equipment operation status.
？ Target 100% compliance to matching chip product quality standards and specifications.


Organizational Relationships: Reports to
？ Laboratory Manager


Qualifications Required
？ Bachelor degree or a higher in a chemical relevant profession. Experience preferred in addition
to having to College degree in either Chemistry, Polymer Science or Engineering.
？ Minimum 3 years equivalent work experience in manufacturing plant quality controls of chemical or petrochemical process, College degree min 5 years.
？ Familiar with vinyl lab and prototype processing equipment, including hands-on operation and skills in maintenance. Examples include Material Presses, Grinders/Classifiers, Roll Mills/Calendars, and Laminators. Knowledge of particle size reduction and consolidation would be advantageous, including Sieve Shakers or Particle Size Analysis equipment.
？ Familiar with ISO 9001 system ,5S.and Quality statistical tools such as SPC, MSA etc..
？ Have good knowledge of computer skills, including Word, Excel , PowerPoint, Project Management
and Minitab.
？ Have good interpersonal communication skills.
？ Must be able to read and write in English. Oral Speaking skills in English would also be preferential.
