JOB SUMMARY:
Lead and directs the regions Finance and Accounting function by providing vision and management for all phases of financial planning and reporting, accounting, audit, tax, treasury, internal controls, and government compliance. Responsible for ensuring timely and accurate accounting and financial reporting for all countries within the region. Responsible for planning and implementing accounting and system changes resulting from business expansion as well as process changes while ensuring compliance with all external requirements as well as internal controls. This position will also oversee HR administration for the region.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Responsible for issuance of monthly financial statements to various individuals and groups within the Company, including the highlighting and analysis of significant variances, in a timely and accurate manner.
2. Responsible for financial planning and analysis, including the completion of the Annual Operating Plan (AOP), 5-Year financial projections, periodic estimates, as well as ad-hoc financial analyses.
3. Oversees HR function management and administration throughout region.
4. Responsible for coordinating and scheduling audits annually with the Company’s external financial auditors, as well as the preparation of the audited financial statements including footnote disclosures.
5. Functionally supervise all accounting activities at the operational level and directly supervise accounting activities at the corporate level (during six month orientation phase). Directly responsible for the region-wide Financial Planning, Corporate Accounts Payable, and Payroll functions.
6. After orientation phase, responsible for all operations accounting activities including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable and cost & inventory accounting.
7. Ensures that region -wide accounts are accurately stated and transactions are properly recorded and classified each month. Ensures each month that all financial accounts are properly stated, reserve accounts are adequate, and balance sheet accounts are reconciled.
8. Responsible for ensuring adequacy of internal controls region-wide.
9. Responsible for establishing and administering accounting practices and controls for new and existing foreign offices and legal entities.
10. Represents cross functional teams from a financial perspective and provides leadership as required.
11. Performs other related duties and analysis as assigned by ASD & CFO.
12. Interfaces with Contract Manufacturers to control costs, maximize savings and oversee contract administration.
13. Manages credit control for sales and proactively seeks, develops and administers sales and supply chain financing tools for the region.
14. Makes recommendations for company-wide process and organizational improvements.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Technical Competencies:
? Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration required; MBA degree or CPA preferred.
? Add regional Certifications/Qualification.
? Minimum of fifteen (7-10) years progressive work experience in accounting or finance and seven (5) years in accounting management; international accounting experience a plus.
? Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office, and various accounting software programs.
? Strong financial acumen and proven analytical abilities.
? In-depth knowledge of Regional accounting practices.
? Strong internal controls knowledge and experience.
? Experience in successful, high-growth companies; manufacturing experience preferred.
