Our client is a Swedish company that produces high quality equipment for the world-wide construction industry. The company has a production site north of Shanghai, and is currently in a very expansive phase and is therefore looking to expand its team.

The role/responsibility
The company is looking for an experienced Sales Manager who can increase the sales to the construction industry in China. You will be responsible for the whole process including surveying the market and identifying customers, formulating a business plan and strategy for the domestic and export markets, to implementing and following up the plan independently as well as together with the existing nation-wide sales team. You will be responsible for the budget and team management and will work closely with the Managing Director to ensure the company's strategic goals are achieved.
Experiences and personal qualities
To be successful as a Sales Manager you have to be an independent and social person who can easily spot business opportunities and you should have an entrepreneurial mindset. The position requires at least five years sales experience in the construction industry and you should also have good experience from managing and motivating a sales team. You are familiar with long sales cycles and selling high quality products. You need to have worked in a Western corporation and thereby have a good understanding of European business culture meanwhile have a deep understanding of the Chinese market. Knowledge of the construction and rental equipment industry is an advantage. You are fluent in both Mandarin and English and you have excellent communication skills.
