Job Description

1.Development and process owner of layout strategy & concepts in Asia

2.Responsible for defining GAP policies and procedures for lean layouts

3.Close connectivity into global layouts ensuring alignment

4.Deployment of lean layouts into manufacturing plants and JV layout engineers

5.Support company lean layout implementation teams

6.Conduct reviews and gap analysis for each manufacturing plant working with local teams

7.Train local plants in layout engineering

8.Continually update and modify layout concepts

9.Implement single piece flow into manufacturing plants

10.Work closely with productivity engineering to eliminate waste

11.Reduce WIP inventories through world class layouts

12.Work closely with JV teams understanding issues with implementation of standards

13.Continually review process & procedures for adherence

14.Conduct regular reviews of standards implementation on site

Skill:

1.Bachelor or Master of Science in production / manufacturing

2.More than 3 years experience in working in modern manufacturing environment

3.More than 1 year layout experience

4.Familiar with AutoCAD

5.Open and willing to learn from foreign expert

6.Good communication skills both locally and globally

7.Be proactive and have energy to drive a process and to deliver results
8.Positive mindset and business oriented leadership with talent to motivate and inspire people around you

9.Willing to work with EU and local time zones as required

10.Excellent communication skills, good skills in English

11.Willing to work with foreign expert in Nanchang for sustained periods of time

The main function of our Shanghai offices is to act as a central contact point for GETRAG Corporate Group, in Asia-Pacific. GAP will lead and coordinate engineering and sales activities for GETRAG Corporate Group throughout Asia.
