Position : Marketing Manager (Focus on Pricing)
Report to: Head of International Sales Asia
Location : Shanghai
Responsibilities:
- Investigates business environment and financials with focus on pricing strategies, growth and value drivers (contribution margin, EBIT) for Asian projects.
- Run under own supervision business projects without daily advise, but report / present results to Module Head Asia and all involved parties frequently.
- Defines and structures the business line project and its goals, together with the module head and the respective business line head.
- Take over responsibility for leading and running projects.
- Deliver the content in the workshops.
- Suggest and monitor with the team the project-specific approach (including milestones).
- Coach the team in tutorials, in group meetings and on the job.
- Suggest project objectives, scope/ structure and framework to the Module Head of Asia.
- Actively search for market/ customer opportunities for business growth, provide feasibility analysis and proposals to the respective businesses.
- Manage and coordinate the resources of the IS required for the support of the company (e.g. Business Analyst).
- Initiate and analyze market, customer and competitor surveys.
- Guarantee proper documentation of work results and help to maintain and updates respective databases.
- Implement and anchor tools and methodologies through coaching and training of marketing & sales staff.
- Adapt and further develop of tools and methodologies under consideration of regional as well as local needs and requirements.
- Promote and live cooperation and collaboration with other groups within International Sales.
Requirements:
- Bachelor or Master Degree.
- 5-8 years working experience in chemical industry or famous consulting firm in any market segment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills.
- Excellent P.C. skills with proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Access.
- Project management skills with sales/marketing experience.
- Good knowledge of chemical industry and good skill in innovation processes and market research capabilities; Specific skill in negotiation and pricing policies.
- Strong Leadership skills and ability to lead work team towards target achievement, good intercultural capabilities.
