Job Summary:
Technical
To be Responsible for all research, development and design needs of the Engineering Department in order to meet the requirements of Cash Handling and Secure Storage Sales divisions and to satisfy all customer needs.



Responsibilities Include:
1 Design & Prototypes
1.1 To Liaise with Sales suppliers and Customers as to the requirements of the design
1.2 To designs products in accordance with prescribed standards and customer specifications
1.3 To designs products so that they are cost efficient and production friendly
1.4 To adhere to all requirements of ISO 9001/2000 concerning designs at all times
1.5 To supervise and assist in building of prototype’s
1.6 To design all necessary Jig’s and Tools that are needed for production

2 Bill of Materials and Costing
2.1 To make all product Bill of Materials and costing

3 Drawing Control
3.1 To register and update all drawings as per the requirements of ISO 9001/2008

4 Admin and Reporting
4.1 To complete all Design control forms accurately an timeously and in accordance with laid down procedures
4.2 To ensure that any other admin. functions related to the design process are completed accurately and timeously in accordance with laid down procedures
4.3 To liaise with the following departments / individuals as and when necessary
· Plant Manager
· Sales Managers
· Service and Transport Manager
· Quality Manager
· Logistics Manager
4.4 To attend meetings as authorised and scheduled and to implement decisions made at such meetings or on the instruction of the Technical manager
4.5 To report to the Plant manager weekly on progress in all KRA’s

5 Safety and Housekeeping
5.1 To comply with standards lay down by management and country legal authorities.
5.2 To ensure that proper safety standards are in line with the standards laid down and adhered to and any accidents are reported in accordance with laid down procedures.



Position Requirements:
1. Education: college education or above in process or engineering discipline.
2. 4 years’ work experience about 3D Modelling & Design Software (Solidworks), comparable role or deputy to same.
3. Knowledge of ISO9001:2008 standards
4. Ability to select functional and economic materials.
5. Communicates well verbally, diagrammatically and in writing
6. Speaks fluent English
7. Attention to Detail, Creativity and Innovation, Planning
