Job Title: Medical Device Business Development & Key Account Director
Location: Shanghai China
Date: April 2013
Purpose of Position
- Responsible for developing designated territory sales in France and targeted key accounts in France.
- The role will require you to undertake the orchestration of multinational client processes and cross regional opportunities that fall within the French territory working with global teams in all regions.
Key responsibilities & accountabilities
? Implement the EMEA sales strategy for the defined territory within France
? Achieve quantitative and qualitative Key Account (KA) objectives for BSI, responsible for achieving results and predictable sales pipeline forecasting
? Develop strategies for leveraging all BSI businesses in the agreed KA using input and information from the wider BSI Group and Regional/Country Managers
? Drive objective to achieve sales targets
? Building relationships and networks
? Develop sales territory client base for both Assessment and CE Marking activities
? Identifies and maintains personal contacts within the customers and procures strong reciprocal
? Communications with customers, particularly customers in senior and middle management not just transactional contacts
? Develops organization charts for targeted accounts
? Identifies and participates in relevant groups and organizations to enhance BSI and personal
? Exposure to key decision makers builds credibility in the business
? Business development and Communication
? Identifies client needs and concerns and develops communication tools to present BSI’s
? Approach / solutions within the Regulatory and wider Certification arena
? Record within and utilize the BSI CRM system (SalesForce)
? Gathers and summarizes competitive corporate activities to Senior Management Team
? Support activities and initiatives for market growth
? Ensures visibility of BSI at senior regulatory KA level through frequent field visits and travel
? Internal management reporting
? Act as the primary ‘focal point’ for sales and business development activities in Southern
? Europe cluster, with regard to forecasting, reporting and presenting the medical device strategy, growth and results in the region.
? Represent the Medical Devices business stream in the SE regional meetings
Candidate specifications
? Education at University degree or equivalent with 3-5 years sales experience in either the medical device industry or certification area
? Demonstrable Technical Sales experience selling relevant service or product (see below)
? Develop full understanding of EU MDD/IVDD and other Medical Device Regulatory Systems
? Business acumen
? Ability to establish strong relationships and networks
? Strategic thinking and execution
? Building trust and influencing
? Building teams/leadership
? C Suite credibility and gravitas
? Coaching / developing others
? Ability to achieve and exceed objectives
